Yoga Stretching Relaxation With Sailing in the Cyclades

Far away from tourist crowds we offer the opportunity to take part in a holiday full of exploration and adventure while getting in touch with your body and mind. During the holiday we will stop at different places unique for their beauty and peaceful atmosphere to offer you four yoga sessions. This is for everyone, beginners in both sailing and yoga as well as for those more experienced.

Price for sailing: 780 € per person*

You can normally register for this charter, the cost for the yoga session will be excluded. The fare without yoga is charged at 680 € per person.

* Included in the price: accommodation on board in a double cabin, full bedding, towels, services of the skipper, yoga sessions with our instructor (four × 1½ hours) and yoga equipment. A board kitty of 340 € per person will be charged. This kitty includes the meals on board and in tavernas, the service of the skipper, port expenses, water, fuel and cleaning of the yacht at the end of the trip. It does not include transfers, rental car or scooter, site visits and museum and bar bills.

Sailing

Every participant will be a member of the crew who learn how to sail and be involved in all activities on board (manoeuvring, navigation) as well as all aspects of daily life. No sailing skills are required.

The daily trips have between 4 and 6 hours sailing depending on distance and wind conditions. Where possible there will be a stop around noon to swim and have lunch.

Island hopping

Your skipper has extensive knowledge of the Greek islands and will show you picturesque small ports with their tavernas as well the most famous beautiful beaches in the Cyclades with their crystal clear waters.

Yoga

Four yoga sessions are planned during the holiday. According the daily sailing plan the sessions will be held in the morning or in the afternoon. Your instructor will take you to the most beautiful places to relax, stretch and meditate where everyone can appreciate the charm and magic of the Cyclades.

Yoga Teacher

Your instructor, Suzanna Stok, is Dutch and speaks also French, English and Greek. She has practiced yoga for over 15 years and will help you work your body to find peace and relaxation through yoga Iyengar, stretching and massage.

Suzanna is also an experienced sailor and has been sailing in Greece for many years. For her, combining sea, sailing and yoga in the Cyclades is an exceptional experience she wants to share with you…

Life On board a sailing yacht

Life on a sailing boat is a little different from life on land. There are some rules you have to respect but also a lot of joy to be discovered! The following information and suggestions will help to make your stay on board as pleasant as possible.

A Typical Day on Board: For this trip the rhythm will be a little different.

Yoga sessions will be in the morning or late afternoon depending of the navigation program. This does not prevent everyone to visit the specific aspects of the island.

Waking up between 8am-9am: Breakfast, shopping, tidying up and preparation for departure.

Departure is around 9am-10am, it usually takes between 4 and 6 hours to arrive at the next destination which is dependent on distance and wind. If possible we stop for a swim and lunch on board. The aim, of course, is to make the thrill of sailing a pleasant experience for everybody each and every day. The skipper will be available at all times to help you improve your sailing skills.

In the afternoon we will anchor in a traditional Greek harbor or remote bay where you can either discover the local charms or just relax on board and enjoy the beautiful Aegean sea.

Evening: At the end of the day you can share your experiences with the rest of the crew while sampling a traditional Greek ouzo. In the evening we can have dinner in an island taverna where you will be introduced to traditional Greek cuisine. Alternatively we can cook and dine on board. Before nightfall the skipper and the crew will discuss the itinerary for the next day’s voyage.

Take your luggage in a light flexible bag, it's easy to store on board

  • Light clothes
  • garments to protect your skin from sun burn
  • sun glasses, sun cream & after sun lotion
  • sport shoes with white soles
  • towels, pullover or sweatshirt
  • sleeping bag - for early and late seasons.

Don’t forget:

  • Your passport or identity card
  • your sailing license (if you have one).
  • We can attest your sailing certificate.
  • If you have any medical conditions please inform us

You don’t need:

  • Blankets, pillows & linen however a towel will be provided.
  • Vaccinations are not required
